Birkbeck has a world leading Science Faculty with Psychological Sciences rated 5th nationally, Earth and Planetary Sciences rated 6th and Biological Sciences rated 11th (the last two being joint submissions with UCL) in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF).

Staff are engaged in an array of ground-breaking, world-class research, much of this is done through our research centres and groups.
